I figured the site needed some more community involvement. So I'm organizing an EO Story Contest.

Rules

• You must write a story describing one of the following
  
  • An experience that took place while on Earth before Project Exodus was discovered
  • An experience that happened on board the Freedom while en route to Terre Verte
  • An event involving those of the FFF who were "left behind" on Earth after the SS Freedom left
• You may NOT write about an event that happened on Terre Verte.
• Unless your story takes place on Earth after the SS Freedom left, then it must include at least one of the following characters: Ken Haft, Berg Wild, Otto, or Karl Jerney.
• Stories must be between 1,000 and 3,000 words (the original legacy story is 2,995)
• Your entry should be posted in the Legacy Contest section of the forum as its own topic.
• Entries must be submitted before midnight on Sunday, February 28.

Be creative. Your story should have a unique plot and present characters in a way that lines up with their existing personalities (i.e. Otto is a keep-to-himself kind of guy), but it can also bring up unknown facts, or present mysteries or ask questions and have them go unanswered.

Beginning March 1st, community voting will take place to determine the winner. The winning story may be added to the official legacy at my sole discretion. If your essay is chosen, then it could be edited for style, tone, or grammatical errors. You will be credited as the author.
